This is a great book to have on hand as a reference work for embracing a whole grain/ vegetable-based diet. However, of great importance is the chapter that explains in detail how to administer and benefit from the ginger compress. Mr. Bursell mentions in this chapter his gratitude to whoever devised the ginger compress and indeed, we owe that person many thanks. Bursell also talks at length about yin-yang theory, facial diagnosis, proper dietary habits and how to take care of yourself. He gives us a healthy dose of the blatant nonsense we have to deal with at times in the medical establishment world, and most of what he comments on resonates for me and is very spot-on. For instance, there are many simple techniques we can do for ourselves at home if we follow the advice given in this book. Bursell adds spiritual philosophy gleaned from Rudolf Steiner, one of the world's great thinkers, and someone society has basically forgotten all these many years. I have this book on my Kindle Reader and readily refer to it when needed. It is an important work, highly recommended.
