Description
Limited 180 gram audiophile vinyl LP pressing. This strong psychedelic trip record clearly shows how great Peter Green was at the time. The End of the Game is a hallucinatory mix of jazz, fusion and blues. The edited pieces of a long jam session are experimental and all instrumentals. Peter Green's wah-wah Gibson guitar is incredibly expressive as is his band. It is a journey that Fleetwood Mac didn't want to make, but Green did it in a mind-blowing way. In 1967 Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood and John McVie played in the legendary John Mayall & The Blues Breakers and were given free studio time during which they recorded five songs. Peter Green was so convinced of this band's musical prowess that he formed Fleetwood Mac on the spot and named it after the drummer and the bass player.

this disc was recorded right after peter left fleetwood mac, this sounds quite a bit different from what peter was doing with fleetwood mac, i am also very pleased zoot money appears on this record, a lot of peters guitar solos all are very spaced out here and this sounds to me like a bit of a psyche record and a hippie trippy record more then a bluesy fleetwood mac record recorded between 1967 to 1970, it seems like peter was not sure what direction to go in at this time but for petes sake and his fans sake I FEEL THIS TURNED OUT FANTASTIC for its time 50 years ago, we also get some decent bonus tracks that where released early in 1971 before we would not hear from peter again until the late 1970s so i would dare to say this is his mother sole solo record from the 70s, as most peter green fans know last month they had a big tribute concert in london uk for peter and all the whos who of rock n roll where there to celebrate, i was hoping peter would show for his own tribute but he did not as far as i know, anyway this was released on the great esoteric label and comes in a nice digi pack and the remastering makes this disc sound fantastic!!! great interview w/ zoot money in the booklet as well....
